read an XML file

is there a simple way, or a function to read an xml file from the directory ( not the Pc's one ) and to extract valus in a internal table.

please help.

of course , i found somthing good but if the file is in the Client PC not in the server SAP directory.my file is in the sap directory and it's little bit harder

can u help me in - how to read xml data file (placed in application server) and remove the xml tags or say fetching the xml data without xml tags and placing the same into an internal table.
