hi to all,

in table vbpa there is a field called PERNR(Personnel Number) how we will put search help (F4 option)in the selection screen to this field so that i can select the pernr.

hi

but there is no search help for this field in database table.

how i can proceed.

please help me in this regard.

Sundeep,

The field PERNR is nothing but your employee number, it is used internal accounting purpose like travel settlement.

PERNR has a search help 'PREM'.

Whenever you declare any local variable in your program using LIKE addition it inherites the attributes of the database field.

Sample Code :


*** PARAMERES
PARAMETERS : P_EMPNO like VBPA-PERNR.

**** SELECT-OPTIONS

TABLES : VBPA.

SELECT-OPTIONS : S1 FOR VBPA-PERNR.

Hope this would give enough clarifications.

declare your parameters as follwos:

parameters: p_pernr like vbpa-pernr.
