RE: Create w/reference in VA01

Hi,

When creating a returns on a sales order, it is often done thru VA01 and using create with reference. A popup screen would appear to allow User to input the reference document. It may be an order/quotation/billing,etc.

However, it is often referencing the whole documents which could be hugh.

I had a request to reference the same but only when an article is keyed in.

Had anyone done these before?

Hi Colin,

Yes. U r right. It will refer to the whole hierarchy of the order u r giving as reference. Even u can see the same in doc flow also.

One way to avoid is give the reference as first order which has been refered. This may not be feasible for all business scenarios. Not sure whether we can do some thing with customization in SPRO.

Please share if u find some thing on this.
