Hello Experts,
I am currently tasked to transport an existing report to QAS server but my problem is when after I modify it(just pretty printer then save.no modifications will be done) it is not asking me for a transport request. So how do I create a transport request for this report? Thank you guys and take care!

Check whether it is Transportable Object or not.

It might already be assigned to another Transport Request, this can be checked in se01 by checking the Modifiable checkbox and then checking all the request nos to see whether it is attached to any of them or it might be saved as a Local Object

Hi,
Check the requeat has been already created for the report or it would have been saved in the local directory($tmp).
Change the directory if it is saved in the local directory...
else.
go to Utilities--->version management.
In that u can see the active version and under that the request number...

Easiest way would be to change something insignificant (delete and add a fullstop, add a comment etc) and then save. It should ask you for a request then.
You might also want to check if the report is already locked under a request. If yes, you could transport the same. Check this by going to Utilities > Versions > Version Management. You should see the request number in the latest active version, if one exists.
Hope this helps.

hi,
there may be two reasons for it:
1> the report might be present in $tmp pkg. first chng the pkg and try to change it it will ask for a request.
2> it may already be present in the request

Hello,
It says temporary objects(never transported) and it is grayed out so I cant change the package of the report. So, how do I change its package so I can have a transport request? Thank you!

Hi,
Goto->Object directory entry
and you will see the details for that program and
now,
specify the "package" name (which is now $TMP , which is not transportable).
once you give the package name, this object can now be moved to other systems and will ask you to create a Transport request for the same.
thanks,
Vishnu.
