Question about merging Workbench Requests

Hi Experts,

I've got an doubt, but i dont think this is the right forum place to place it, but didnt fount anyone better.

My question it's about merging workbench requests using the include object functionality , in SE10.

Let's say that i have 3 diferent workbench request were all of them have the same object, but with diferent modifications.

Request 1

Request2

Request3 - were this one has the most recent modifications.

If i create a new workbench request and include the 3 request above witch one will stay with the object modifications? The most recent one, request 3 in this case ?

Yes the most recent one will stay.Request3

Please check if your object has all the modifications done in request 1 and 2.

If so , just delete them and transport only request 3.

If you are not sure then transport them individually ...

Srini Vas you will only receive 6 points because i allready knew that, my doubt was when merging the requests.

Don't forget that it is always the same object in its latest, active version that you're dealing with. Supposed all three requests have been released already, then you could even include request 1 or 2 only (but not 3) and you would still include the latest version (as per modification done with request 3) in your new request.

If i am not mistaken if an object is "locked" to a TR, anyways while transporting to subsequent system this will give an error.

Correct me if i am wrong.

Once the request is released and exported, the object is no longer locked and can be changed again in the original system.

As long as the request has not been released, then the object is locked and cannot be included in another request (any forceful interventions aside).

I'm sure you know this already, so I probably did not understand your point correctly.

Actually i got confused 'coz of the original post (OP) :-(( As per the OP i thought that the previous TRs were not released hence the confusion.
