Query On Background Processing..

Hi Friends,

Wish you all a Very Very happy new Year.

Here is my query,

I have a Custom Report,I want to schedule a job for Mass Update of price,For this I want to update price from Presentation Server and want to process it in background,but when i am executing in background for the file in presentation server ,it gives "Cancelled" status at SM37.

However it is not the same if the file running in Application Server.When the file is in application server and executed in background it worked well.

Please let me know if it is possible to schedule background job for the file in the presentation server,if yes than how and if no than why.

Hi,

Fiel should be in Application server for background jobs.

We can't run back ground jobs with file at presentation server.

Hi

You can not run a program in background when you are uploading files from presentation server.
