Push Button in Subscreen - Screen Enhancement ?

Hi,

I am doing screen enhancement to transaction IW22 wherein I have added a table control.

I have added a push button SAVE which will invoke some further BAPIs.

When I activate the subscreen and push this SAVE button,

I get the error message "Requested function SAVE is not available here"

Can't we add push buttons to subscreens for Screen Enhancements ?

Hi Nitin,

You can have a pushbutton on subscreen but since subscreens do not have their own GUI status the function code ( Ok_CODE) handling has to be done in the PAI for main screen. This can be done using Menu Exits if one is provided in the enhancement. Which SAP enhancement are you using.

Hi Sanjay,

I am working on QQMA0001 exit

This does not have ne Menu exit kinda thing.

So How can I have my own push button on my subscreen

How should I go about it ?

Hi Nitin,

Because you have to handle this push button in your subscreen's PAI, I suggest the following,

Make sure the fcode that you assign to this push button does not conflict with any existing fcodes of the main program (SAPLIQS0).

Next step is to code based SY-UCOMM in your subscreen's PAI (as OK_CODE is not available in subscreens).

Once you are done with your handling in your subscreen PAI, call function module IQS0_SET_OK_CODE and set OK_CODE to space as the main program should not attempt to handle your fcode.
