Hi Sourav,

IMPLEMENTATION:-

This means right now there is no SAP system ( or there might be some other legacy system / old ERP) being used and to setup one. This includes implementation right from scratch..

involving all the phases of ASAP i.e

Project Preparation

Blue print phase

Realization,

Final Preparation

Go live and support

MAINTENANCE:-

This means SAP system is already implementation and there is requirement for some enhancement or resolution of tickets... It's supporting the exsting system..

ROLL-OUT:-

This is nothing but going live.. that is the SAP system will be used by the end user for real business transaction... Here the maintask is to help resolve issues that arise during go-live phase...

Hope this helps you...

ENJOY SAP.

Hi,

1>IMPLEMENTATION-It implies starting from Blueprint upto golive and support.First u will know what the business process of the client, then blueprint comes into picture, then there will be gap analysis, then development comes(Abaper's role starts here),then finally go live and support. This is one full cycle of an implementation project.

2>Maintainance-After golive and support ,this comes into picture.U will get to modify the existing programs .

3>RollOut- When there is extension of one or more plants of the client, then rollout will comes into picture.

Hi Sourav,

Implementation Project:

Project to implement business processes in an SAP landscape.

Maintenance Project:

Project to maintain a solution with Change Request Management. The project contains all maintenance activities and urgent corrections of a solution.

Roll-out Project:

Project to roll out one or more templates containing scenarios, blueprint documents and configuration at head office to the subsidiaries. You can decide which parts of the template are relevant to the subsidiaries, and whether, or to what extent, they can change the template in their rollout projects.

Hope this will help.

Regards,

Ferry Lianto

Please reward points if helpful.

hi

good

IMPLEMENTATION - The kind of project who start as a fresh, there wont be any development before.

Maintainance -The project which has been already finished and immediately client want to maintain that project to check wheather that project is working properly or not,and if some of the requirement is still not fulfilling than they want the changes in that.

RollOut - Its a kind of project which is consider as a support project, but in this case this can be extend indefinitely, and sometime they want to implement some new concept and sometime they want changes in the exisiting functionality.

thanks
