Program Index Generated.

Hi,

can anybody tell me what is the Meaning of Message "Program Index Generated" appears many a times when you activate or navigate through that program.

Thats a System Message that SAP provides in the status bar, during the generation of a program or regeneration of program etc.

When ever a transaction is gone through for first time since rebooting, the system throws this message. The underlying program will be going through this step and the system throws this message.

During this process, System generates an index to mark the co ordinates of the program, so that the retrieval of the same will be easy later.

When you generate a program, the system creates a new load version from the active version. Unlike activation, this operation only generates a new load version.

i did't understand what rebooting means?

is it new User session?

what do you mean by Program Co ordinates , is it anything related to Geometrical subject?

and please tell me the difference between Load Version and Active Version.and how they are related to each other.
