Problem with SY-DATAR

Hi,

Good day!

For the same fields in a custom screen SY_DATAR is setting to 'X' some times and setting to Blank. It's not consistent, what could be the reason for this, is there any alternate to achieve the functionality of the SY-DATAR.

Please help me with your valuable inputs.

Hi,

Have you checked when the field gets set to 'X'and when it is blank.

The description of SY-DATAR

Set to X at time of PAI if at least one screen input field was changed by the user or other data transfer, otherwise empty.

Please whether the flag is not set even when you enter some data.
