Problem with standard text

Hi All,

I got a requirement where in I have to delete the standard text maintained.

I mean, the content of the standard text.

Ex: z_del_exe_de01 has a text in EN as "Material List....etc"

Now I want to delete the text and move the empty z_del_exe_de01 to quality and from there to prod.

I deleted the text in so10 and when I tried to assign the TR for "z_del_exe_de01" in SE78, I'm getting message the "z_del_exe_de01" in EN doesn't exist.

Please let me know how to assign the Standard text(without data) to TR?

Hi Priya,

you don't need to assign standard text to TR.

You can delete standard text in qual or prod systems as how you delete it in SO10.

Yes, I would ask the Func guy to delete the text in qual and prod system as I cannot assign the standard text(with no data) to a TR.

Hi

We transport report Texts in a TR..

Report Texts means 'Hello World'(001) or Selection-Screen Fram Title T01.. etc..

Those are Text Symbols they need to be transported in a TR..

For deleting a Standard Text SO10

use SE78

-> Standard Texts -> ST -> insert text name & language -> click delete button

or use

fm DELETE_TEXT

Goto SO10 and type the text-id you want to delete and then click on

Change button. After that select the menu Text-->Delete. It will delete

the Text ID

Just delete this from any system.... It wont event ask for a TR to do so...
