Problem with Report Variants

I've developed a report with a few SELECT-OPTIONS and I've saved a few variants.

In order to update the report, I'd to change the Data Element of one of the SELECT-OPTIONS (from a CHAR8 to a CHAR10).

the problem with this is that all he variants execution are not working any more.

I've this error message:

Err.time.exec. CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_LENG

Excep. CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR

The diagnosis is this: "after the variant creation, the SELECT-OPTION has been changed or the report parameters, by increasing or decreasing the character length"

Procedure: "must adapt or delete the variant"

How can I adapt the variant?

Yes I did, but I get another dump:

CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_STRUCTURE

Try report RSVARDOC_610.

Or adjust the variant from SE38->variants->adjust.

As Pranavjeet mentioned, run the program RSVARDOC_610 for your variant and leave SYSVAR blank. Hope that works.
