Hi Friends,
I have a doubt here. I am having a user defined table for the Invoice registration. In that I took a field Invoice amount of field type DMBTR. Now the user wants the Invoice amount to be negative also. If I change the Field type in the table does it have any impact to the data in the production?
Please suggest me what to do.

HI SMP ,
U cannot change the field like this... bcoz... dmbtr is a standard field created by SAP.. So many tables use this field those tables may get affected.
So better u go for a custom field as ur using a custom table.

Yes,
I mean can I remove the DMBTR from the table and replace a custom defined field? Will it have any impact on the data which is already in the production.

Hi,
You can change the domian data type as CHAR when you are activating the table go for the utilities and activate with save data option.

hi,you did not need to remove the fileds, you can try this way
