Friends,
I created a report program for displaying contents of a table.
Then created a functional area , user groups & assigned the
above created program to the functional area.
Then I created a query using SQ01 (assigned the created functional area & user groups),
then I clicked on the Basis List option provided in the query..
I got the following error "Functional area is corrupt..regenate it".
I tried creating the basis list after generating the functional area again..but I am getting the same
error. I am unable to trace the problem. Please Help!!.

Hi Usha,
i dont' understand the item 'functional area'
in relation to queries (sq01/sq02).
What's the meaning of functional aerea ?

It is a means of specifying how the data in the query is coming from (That is whether it is
from a individual table, program or table joins)

Hi,
Check the syntax of the 'Data reading Program' generated by the functional area and try to generate it, there should'nt be any problem.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
HAve u followed the procedure in creating the query
1. Create a structure
2. Create program
3. Goto sq02 and create user group
4. Goto sq03 and create a Functional Area
5. Goto sq01 and create a query, while doing so check whether u have attached the user group and functional area, if not attached Goto edit > other user group and select ur user group and attach it.
Then u can select it and create a query.
Reply me if u want any help regarding this.

Hi Usha,
If you make any changes in the report or infoset, you have to activate and regenerate the infoset and query again.
Did u assign that infoset to that user group
