Problem in creating entry through SM30

Hi Experts,

I have created a table with 2 fields in a unicode system and i have already created its table maintainance through utilities->generate table maintenance in SE11 but when i am going for creating entry in table through SM30 neither fields are being displayed nor it is allowing to create entry. When i choose edit - > create entry, it comes out on SM30 main screen again and gives following message

No entries found that match selection criteria

Can any body help or suggest on this. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Check if U have authorization to create the entries..

Hi,

Make sure that, you have given Authorization Group and Object. And maintenance screen whether it is 1 step or 2 and screen numbers.

Hi Sriram,

Have created table maintanance as follows -

-> authorization group - &NC& (w/o auth. group)

->authorization object - S_TABU_DIS

-> Maintenance type - one step

-> Maintenance screen no.

Overview screen - 1

Single screen - 0

-> Recording routine - no, or user, recording routine (radiobutton)

-> Compare flag - Automatically Adjustable

Can you please let me know what's wrong in it or provide your comments or suggestions.

while creating the table you have to maintain

display and maintanace allowed in Delivery/Maintenance tabs.

hi,

GO TO TABLE MAINTENANCE GENERATOR SCREEN , AND DELETE IT.

SAVE COME BACK.

GO TO DATABASE UTILITY AND CLICK ACTIVATA AND ADJUCT DATABASE TABLE.

NOW SAVE AND COME BACK SAVE AND ACTIVATE IT.

NOW AGAIN GO TO TABLE MAINTENANCE GENERATOR AND GIVE AUNIQUE NAME ANY THING AND THEN CREATE THE TABLE MAINTENANCE.

NOW IT SHOULD WORK AND IT WILL WORK.

I GUESS ALL THE TABLES ASSOCIATED WITH FUNCTION GROUP WOULD RESULT IN ERROR BECAUSE YOU HAVE USED A FUNCTION GROUP THAT IS TIED TO ANOTHER TABLE.

REMEMBER GO TO SE 80 AND GIVE THE FUNCTION GROUP NAME AND JUST CLICK REFRESH ICON,OTHERWISE IT WOULD CRETA PROBLEMS FOR OTHER TABLE

ALWAYS THE FUNCTION GROUP SHOULD BE UNIQUE.

Check the primary key of the table is defined properly. Sometimes it creates this problem.

Do you primary keys for your fields it should have one primary key except MANDT, then only it will allow you to create entries'

check this and let me know

Hi Soumya,

The table have 2 fields (1) MANDT (2) LIFNR. MANDT is primary key referring to data element MANDT and its check table is T000 and didn't found any mistake in primary key definition.

Make LIFNR also as primary key. MANDT alone cannot be used as a primary key.

You make LIFNR as primary and delete the table maintenance and re create it

it will solve your problem

First Delete older TMG

Go to Table Change - SE11

Extras Menu -> Enhancement Category ...

Select Character-type or numeric

Create New TMG
