Hello Zakir.
I haven't heard this term before.
On what context, you came across it?
Regards.

Hi Arun,
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.
SAP Smart Forms also support postage optimizing.
Even for the first time i m hearing ths... so very much confused

Postage optimisation is a concept where some attribute in addition to the address is used to route mail in an attempt to save cost.
For example, in the UK in addition to my address there is a six digit code that identifies a general geographic area that the post office can use to route mail prior to local sorting.
Smartforms doesn't have this fuctionality, while it can pass the data needed for Postage optimisation the optimisation process would typically be done outside of SAP.

Nick

In short, postage optimization means an external system can sort the document data from its interface and forward the documents so that they can be bundled in conventional mails accordingly.
