Solved: Populate Screen Field

Hello,

Its been a while since I did any dialgue programming and I can't remember how to do the following.

I have created a field on the screen say 'ABC' which is just output only. It does not relate to a field

from any database table.

How can I populate this field? In the PAI I am trying to say 'ABC' = text.

But I get the error that 'ABC' is unknown. i.e. it expects it to be a database field.

Does anybody know how I can get areound this??

Hi,

Go to the TOP Include and declare the field.

Say 'X' is the field that you have added to your layout.

Declare it as


DATA: X TYPE i.   "or whatever is the data type
