Picking waves number ranges

Is it some how possible to have external number ranges for picking waves?

help says it's not possible but...

I'm using VL35_S to create picking waves and I would like to have same or similar number as the shipment number for picking wave and dynamic bin.

Hi,

Here it's a few suggestions:

1. back to the WM number range assignment pages (/nOMLW) or directly using /nLN02 then thick the Ext column. It means u can use an external number for your TO ( no more config)

2. check your number range assignment for storage bin using /nOMLW

3. try to type your number range manually then execute, if this can by pass the error message you can ask your sys admin to find patch for this problem in SAP OSS notes

Hi!

The problem is not number range for TO (it can be internal as far as I'm concerned) but number range for picking waves.

I'd like to be able to assign picking wave number externally (within defined number range). Ideally it should be shipment number or route number.
