Hi,

Physical Inventory means count the materials in plant/ Sto.Loc manually.

Basically We have two Terms In Inventory Management.

Book Quantity - > means the quantity Which is maintained by System.

Phy. Inventory -> Manual enter of the counted material Qty.

If there any difference is occurred between the above two things means we can Post the Difference Qty using Transaction MI07.

MI09 - Is for to process the Phy. Inventory with out Material Document Number.

MI01- for creating the Material document for Phy. Inventory Process.

Thanks,

Physical Inventory is a process that all companies with their own stocks or special stocks in their warehouse eventually face.

There are several different kinds of physical inventory that can be managed, for example: periodic inventory, continuous inventory, cycle counting or inventory sampling.

Also go thru this link..

hope it helps.
