Parameter in selection screen not holding the drop down value

Hi all,

I have a parameter field in selection screen with search help as follows.

SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(40) TEXT-009.

PARAMETERS RCODE TYPE T530E-PREAS MATCHCODE OBJECT H_T530E.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.

At the drop down I can see the correct values but when I select one it does appear on the screen. But when I enter the value manually it holds it. Please advise.

When I take the drop down at the parameter field on selection screen I can see the desired fields but when I select one suppose I select '05' but still '00' will appear in it. So ia have to manually type in '05'. What should I dod so that '05' will appear if I select it.

If i understood it right.... You want the value to be copied back to paramters RCODE when you choose one from drop down.

If yes, use the following code. Just replace it with your old code.

Where did you get the match code object H_T530E? if you use this, this will not copy the rcode but copies the first value.

Just use the following code

SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.

SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 1(40) TEXT-009.

PARAMETERS RCODE TYPE T530E-PREAS.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.
