suppose I have Form1.

I've created a copy of form1 to Form2 and done the changes in Form2

Now I want to copy the changes of form2 to form1 i.e overwrite Form1

In Scripts when we are copying form2 to form1 it will ask Form1 already exists, do you want to overwrite?

But I'm not getting this option in smart forms.

It is giving Form1 already exists.

Ok fine

if its not allowing, Delete form1 and copy form2 to form1 ( consided as a new but the name will be same)

Hi Manasa,

Open the smartform A that you want to over write in CHANGE mode.

Then click Utilities -> Upload and select the Second form.

Before this, you need to Download Smart Form 2 to an XML file using the same options.

This way you can over write the existing smartform.

Best Regards,

Ram.

Hello Manasa,

1. Download form1 (Utilities-->Download Form) into the desktop & then delete form1.

2. Copy form2 into form1. In this way you can upload form1 to its initial version to revert the changes

You have no option to overwrite the SF.

No It wont Allow you to Overwrite.

Simple thing,Just Rename the Existing Smartform to another name and delete the First one and Proceed with Copy now.

No Need to Download/Upload Either.

Hi All,

Thanks for your valuable replies.

Actually my form is already tranported to quality.

Now I have done the changes in Test form which I want to overwrite to the Original Form

If I Overwrite the smart form the version history will be gone.

So I cant overwrite this. I cant take the risk of deleting or renaming the form.

But Thanks for the Answers. I can use this method if they are TMP forms
