Outbound Idoc

For inbound idocs, I go to we19 and try to post it and see if there are any errors. How do I test that with outbound idocs?

I want to create a sample outbound idoc from VF03 (invoice) and see if it is succesfully generated. Please tell me how to do it?

Hi,

Go to VF03..

GIve the invoice number..

Press change..

In the menu..HEADER -> OUTPUT..

Give the output type that is used for triggering the IDOC..

In the further data..Choose "send immediately while saving"

Now the IDOC will be triggered..

Once the IDOC is succesfully triggered..GO to header -> OUTPUT..Then press the processing log button...

There you can see the IDOC number..

hi naren,

I did that.

But for the output types, I tried with an invoice example and when I saved, the status is showing error and not green. I checked the processing log, the longtext for the error says as below:

Diagnosis

Message type so and so should be sent with communication type .

System Response

Communication type is not supported by the conversion module.

Procedure

Use one of the supported communication types:

Printer (LET)

Fax (FAX)

Telex (TLX)

X.400 (X40)

Mail via Internet (INT)

Mail via SAPoffice (RML)

Looks like I need to do some customizing. If so, please give a hint reg. that.

Hi,

Go to NACE..

select the application V3..

Press the output type button in the application toolbar..

Then choose the output type..

Then double click on the processing routines folder on the left hand side..

Then if there is any program , form routine configured for the medium 6 (EDI)
