OSS Notes in Support Pack Stack

Hi Everyone,

We are currently in ECC 6.0 (SP 12) and in the process of applying SP 13 and SP14.

We are trying to find the impact of applying these packages to existing functionality.

*My question is, 'How do I find out list of all OSS notes in a given Support Package'?. I was assuming it should be available in 'SAP Market Place' somewhere. I couldn't locate it.*

Any ideas?

Regards,

VP

Although this is interesting to security folks as well... I think that your intention found the wrong forum.

Please check the forum overview and let me know where I should move it to.

Or are you specifically looking for security related notes with SP's (e.g. configurable activation switches which become available with code corrections or changes?).

Cheers,

Julius

Hi VP,

Please check out SAP Note: 1156006 and all the notes mentioned within it for ECC 6.0 SP13 upgrade.

Could not find SP14, probably it has not yet been released. The last release corresponds to SP13 released on (06/2008).

Thanks,

Saby..

Thanks, Saby.

We just recently upgraded to SP Stack 15 in our Sandbox system. I am trying to see the impact of this upgrade on security. You would think there is an easier way to search for all notes in a given SP stack that impacts a given application area, Security in this case. (If I restrict by BC-SEC application area, that does not give you any new/change auth. object in a different application area).

Once you have the list, then it would be up to the installation to go thru' the notes and determine if it is applicable to the specific implementation.

So far, it has been a needle-in-hay-stack experience.

Hi,

one possibility is standard note search.(with limitations).

Enter as limitation 'by product version' and select then the Product you have (for instnace ENterpreise 2004s). In the next screen you can enter by application form which SP-level you want to search relevant notes.

For instance if you enter here for SAP Netweaver->7.0->application server abap and then sap_basis SAPKB70017, you will get all basis notes from SP 17 on.

Then select from SAPKB70016, , you will get all notes from SP16 on, including the ones from SP17. The delta are the SP16 notes. And so on....

Thanks, Bernhard.

I didn't explore enough to restrict search by 'Product version' until now. I also learned that I could save search criteria as a template so that you do not have to reenter all your installation specific parameters every time.

It helps. But, I am still looking for a better solution.
