OSS Note implementation question

Greetings

I am about to apply an SAP Note (OSS) to my system. While I was reading the documentation online I came across a line that says

"In order to use the transaction code SNOTE, the relevant transport which implements this transaction in the system need to be transported".

Can anyone explain to me what this step consists of?

The rest of the documentation is clear to me.

Thanks and regards

Sameer Ahmed

Hello,

It sounds like that comment means that you cannot use SNOTE unless it has been installed in the system by applying a transport. It seems to me that if you have access to the tcode SNOTE and it

executes then SNOTE has probably been implemented.

Hope this helps a bit

Not sure, but I think long ago SNOTE was not part of the standard installation but had to be installed additionally (just like LSMW). Maybe that sentence is a left over? What is your SAP release?

Hi Thomas

I am on ECC 6.00

So I guess I should just ignore this statement and go ahead with applying the note?

Thanks

Just try and start transaction SNOTE, download a note, implement it and you will see. If you have access to the transaction then you're set to go.
