original table name

HI

I have used tcode mm03, in that i have one data element material text - maktx.I have to find the original table of that data element .i searched in se84 its showing lot of table names.Can any one help me out this.Table value is not present for that data element.

Actually today am not in front of SAP.But It's a quite often used field in SAP so i remember and gave you.

but any way you can also find from below path:

SE15>fields>table fields>give field name in field name box here>execute

The Table is MAKT.

For Material Description you can use Either

MAKTX or MAKTG(Upper Case).

Hello Arun,

Go to the dataelement MAKTX and double click on the domain of that data elemnt. There in the value tab, a value table will be assigned. This is how you will find the table for a data element.
