i want to create a org level . i know i can create it with a report. after creation what are the steps i should do... and how can i use SUPC regarding this
If you are speaking about converting a field to Org field, please use report "PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE" . Fisrt run this report in test mode. It would display all the roles wherever this field is being used. Now uncheck the test mode and execute it once again. With this field will be converted to Orgfield.
Download list of roles that will be effected and verify roles for authorization and confirm they are generated and the field is now a part of Org fields.
Run “time dependency job” after role verification is complete.
SAP provides following programs related to Org fields:
PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE:Profile Generator: Create New Org. Level Field
PFCG_ORGFIELD_DELETE:Profile Generator: Delete New Org. Level Field
PFCG_ORGFIELD_UPGRADE:Profile Generator: Modification After Upgrade for New Org.Level Fields
Use the first one to add a field to organizational level...there is not much that you will have to do after the field has been added... you don't need to generate profiles of all roles after creating org field... though it is required if you delete one... you can use SUPC for that....
Assuming that the value of the FIELD that you have added to Org Level is already there in the roles with some value...else you might have to update all the roles affected...
