hi,
when we create programs in dev a transport request will be generated ,to transport this to PRD,first release the request in se10,then put a mail to basis to transport it to PRD or we can transport it using transaction STMS.

Hi,
Save the object to be transported into a package. Don't save it as a local object.
When you refer a package, automatically system will ask you the transport request.
Create the request and release it through SE10.
Execute transaction STMS. You will see the configured Transport Landscape of your environment.
Accordingly transport the requests to desired client if you have the authorization. Otherwise you can seek your BASIS person's help.
If the object has to be explicitly transported, open the object and select the menu option generate request.
If the object is stored as local object, change the object directory entry of the object and move it to any of the packages created by you. The same procedure follows as explained above.

Hi,
Any object you are going to develop, once you try to save the object it will prompt for package name and transport request number. If you provide those details then the object will be saved under that transport request. Once you release the task then the transport request will be ready to released to other system, (QAS or PRD). Object can be transported to other system using STMS TCode.
Thanks,
Sriram Ponna.
