When I am trying to change the package I am getting the following error message.

Object directory entry R3TR DTEL ZZADJ_PER locked

for request/task DEVK900251

How to change the object directory entries which are part of a request/task?

Please help.

Thanks,

You can go to the person who owns the request and ask if you can take it over for a bit. If yes - take it over, make your change and re-assign back to the first person.

Call transaction SE03, choose "Object Directory" -> "Change Object Directory Entries of Objects in a Request".

I tried that but it is still giving the same error. Any other ideas?

Then you need to run the Unlock Objects (Experts tool) in SE03. Dont forget to check 'Create versions of objects' and 'Create transport of copies'.

Hope this helps.

Rob,

I am the owner of those objects. As those objects are assigned to a request, whenever I tried to change the package for those objects, it is giving me the error messages.

Thanks,

As I told you before as long as you dont unlock those objects you can not change the package. Please unlock and then try to change the object directory entry. Create a new transport of copies and release the old transport. The released transport will not go anywhere. Dont forget to check the options on the unlock entries (expert tool).
