numc and char

hi i have got two fields that have data types numc and char. I want to fill value --- in those fields. I know i can do it for char but nt sure for numc. what if i put space or 0000 for numc, will it be any good.

Hi gaurav,

1. NUMC won't accept any spaces.

2. by default it will be 0000 only.

3. if we assign 25 to numc,

it will be 000025.

Hi,

For NUMC 0's are displayed automatically for the length of the variable you have specified. So no need. If you want to fill any other character other than 0-9 it is not possible.
