Notes with Support Packages.

Hi experts,

When we have to apply a Sap Note and it indicates to use a Support Package. Who is responsible for applying this note: Basis or ABAP and how we implement it?

Support Packages are usually applied by Basis.

Please note the word "usually".

If the SAP Note refers to a minimum Support Package level, then it is just that, ensure the version.

This will be input for a decision, whether the NOTE is applicable as is, or with an alternate sequence/procedure.

Hi Rafel,

ABAPer can't implement the support packs, where as can implement the SAP notes. SAP notes are related to module specific or object specific corrections.

Support packs are collection of OSS notes. Even notes are belongs to different modules also. Before implementing the support packs need to check the side effect notes as well as per-requisites also.

Need to follow the SAP recommendations while implementing the support packs.
