Not able to test/execute the class.

When I try to test/execute the class, I get the message:

"You are not authorized to execute this object".

I am able to activate the class though.

How can I test the class.

After getting this message enter <b>SU53 </b>into the command field (top-left corner). There you should see the missing authorizations.

Thanks for your reply. What am I looking at. Under the "user's authorization data" , it says "no authorizations available"

What authorizations do I need to execute/test a custom class. What should I see in su53 that will tell me that I need this particular authorization.

You can not execute a class directly in SE24, you can test it using the tool icon.

Otherwise you will need to write a simply progam which uses this class.

I used se01, and then double clicked on the custom class I am trying to test. Now when I click on method and try to test using the "test/execute" icon, I get "you are not authorized to execute this object"

How should I make sure I have the authorization.

Run the test, when you get that message, put /NSU53 into the tcode box at the top of the gui, print the listing which is shown and give to your basis guy to get authorizations.
