We are upgrading from 46. to ECC 6.0.
When we ran UCCHECK in ECC 6.0, for some of the obejcts we got the message "Normal syntax error. Unicode syntax check will not be performed".
Now my queries are:
1. Do we need to correct these errors before I do the remediation for the Unicode compliance (after running the UCCHECK again when the syntax corrections are done)?
2. Would these objects be Unicode compliant already ? Does this mean that these objects do not need remediation for Unicode compliance?
A quick reply would be appreciated.

Hi
It should depend on the attributes of the report: check if the unicode checking is setted.

Hi Anand,
This means that you have errors in your program already,
1.Unless you correct these errors with UCCHECK, You cannot tell whether the object is unicode compatible or not
2. That doesnt even mean that they are Unicode compliant already
Thanks,
