as I read the announcement in this space, I would to ask if there will be a new version of the NW 7.31 trial version including the newest Kernel 7.21 in the near future?
if you have a good connection to your SAP Basis Team you perhaps find a way to get the 7.21 Kernel for Windows 64 Bit. The Update that I've did last weekend worked just fine.
As a SAP Mentor I'm actively working with the SAP Stakeholders of the NetWeaver Developer/Trial Edition to get a All-In Version which should include:
- NetWeaver Gateway
- SAPUI5
- AiE Support
hope I can bring them all together and we get a Windows Intallation and Linux Image.

I can do this and try to get the kernel from our basis but I think that even developers should be able to try out new features without having access to additional software parts 🙂
So I really appreciate your efforts of creating a single image with the components you mentioned above. (or at least "pushing" sap to do so 🙂 ) This would really help to learn about new technologies even if you don't have the possibility to try them at your company's landscape.
of course my colleagues and I agree that there should be an updated SCN trial. That's why we are already working on an AS ABAP 7.31 SP5 trial with SAP kernel 7.21. Unfortunately I can't give you any release dates yet.
Sure, we slightly changed our plans because of the new SAP NetWeaver 7.4 release: We are currently working on the master for the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.4 trial edition, which also includes the latest kernel (7.40). Thus, together with the new ABAP Developement Tools 2.7 trial this will be a nice package. We plan to release it in Q3/Q4.
