.NET development without SAP server

Hello,

I'm new in develop with the .net connector.

It is possible to create a .net application with RFC calls without having access to an real SAP server ?

Hi Gaurav,

thanks for the links.

I found this sentence in the article "Using SAP .NET Connector" :

First, define a destination in Server Explorer that points to a valid server. This Server Explorer destination is needed to connect to the SAP System and query its metadata. It doesn’t have to be the actual system you plan to use, as long as the metadata (functions, object types etc.) is identical. Using this metadata, NCo can create the needed proxies.

Does this mean that I need access to an SAP server to create a proxy with VS2003 ?
