Hi
I implemented an OSS Note using SNOTE. Now I need to modify the function module which was updated with this note. This is not possible, system shows message EU 526. I'm not in upgrade mode and the function module is not modified.
I tried to set the status "Back to Standard" in SE95, this works only if the note has been reset, and this is something I simply don't want.
Any help?

Hi
You need not be on upgrade mode. It can be that after the system upgrade the adjustments were not completely done for this function group. Check SMODILOG table for the entry you are getting. Try to remove this using SE95_UTIL. Then you can try to work on your object.
Let me know if you are struck.

Hi
There wasn't any system-upgrade, I only implemented an OSS-Note with SNOTE. The function module isn't modified (check with Modification Overview)
Is there a possibility to modify the function module without changing the entries in SMODILOG?
When you go to SE95 you can "Reset to Original", why is this not possible?
It says: "Modification will be lost; however, Note corrections are retained", when you continue the following message appears:
"This function is only supported for obsolete notes that were imported with the upgrade or support package", so why they mention that Note corrections are retained first and then it's not possible to continue?

HI
Do you know the OSS note number that your object belongs to ? Check the version of the Object that is listed in the SPAU transaction. When you try to do a reset to original it will show you if it is used in any note which has to be adjusted.
Check the version of the object and do a reset and then edit the object if you need.
Did u try the delete modification Log under se95_util transaction ?

Hi Vijai
The note and the function module do not appear in SPAU at all. If possible I don't want to delete the Modifikation Log.
Thank you for your help so far...

Hi
Then you can't change the function module using normal SE37 transaction code. There is no harm in you going and deleting the modification log as long as you know what you are doing.

Try releasing the repair and then see if you can modify the object.
