Hi All,
I understand that we can get the name space from SAP Service market place. We need to reserve the name space so that it cannot be used by un-authorized persons. we need to have a system licence before we go for name space.
I would like to know the answers to the below questions
1. Can we have single namespace for multiple projects.
2. Is there any additional license required if we have to rollout namespace to multiple projects?
3. Can we have single licence for multiple name spaces.
Thanks for all your help.
Regards,
Nagaraj

Hi All,
Wanted to share the below information and closing the thread.
1. Can we have single namespace for multiple projects.
· If the instance is centrally used by multiple projects we can use a single name space. Name space always depends on Installation Number. If you include all the installation numbers when obtaining Name space licenses from SAP you will be able to use for all instances and projects in that system. Details: you need to provide the following details to SAP for license
ü Namespace name (recognizably connected to your company)
ü Purpose of the namespace (for example, central group development, or the name of a planned specific enhancement to SAP)
ü Installation numbers of the SAP Systems in which you want to develop
2. Is there any additional license required if we have to rollout namespace to multiple projects?
ü Above explanation answers this.
3. Can we have single licence for multiple name spaces.
ü No, we cannot. For each name space we must have one license as we need to register in .
Licenses for Reserved Namespaces
The use of namespaces is protected by a license check in the SAP System. When you reserve a namespace, you are given the authorization to obtain namespace license keys from SAP in SAPNet - R/3 Frontend for installations of your customer number (and optionally also for installations of other customer numbers organizationally assigned to you). These license keys allow you to release the namespace for use.
