Is it possible to have multiple IDOC extensions for one basic type?
please help me abt the impacts of this. thanks.

Hi Venkata,
Yes, multiple extended IDoc types for one basic type can be created. But only one can be assigned in Partner profiles(WE20).
If for the different requirements, there is need to create different extension IDoc types, suggestion would be to create new custom message type also.
Just to cross-check, verify whether tcode WE82 allows to create new entry with same message type, same Basic IDoc type but two different extension idoc types (release being same).
