monitor failed idocs

Hello All,

We have an EDI solution for receiving orders and currently I manually monitor the failed idocs using BD87 and a variant to display all idocs having error status codes between a certain date range.

Would like to automate it in such a way I receive an email (or workplace notification) with the idocs for orders that have an error status or at least a notification there is an error to remind me to manually run bd87.

Appreciate any suggestions or ideas.

hi George

you need define a workflow to automatically monitor this. when IDOC error issues, the event of BOR will trigger this workflow, then send a email to users.

you can googling 'Configure workflow notifications for IDocs in error status', there are some detail  steps in SAPTechnical.

I have found the way, well the first step: using WE06 (program RSEIDOCA).

However when I run it will tell me error condition were found but got no notification in my business workplace. is there any particular workflow item that needs turned on?

I tried to run WE06, it works fine by me, i didn`t activate any particular workflow.

All the workflow task is standard in my WE46.

BTW, in my selection screen of WE06, the 'Recipient Type' i choosed 'US' and 'Recipient' is the user name.
