Hi all,

I have Material Number.

Now i want to find out the characteristics of this material.

and also i want to know the for which class this material belongs to.

Please tell me the table and field names.

Please help me.

use the table mara fieldname is matnr,

for description of material use the table makt fieldname is maktx..

hi,

first go to transcation MM03 and enter the material number.

select the necessary views and press enter

then click on "classification" tab ,here u can see the class and characteristics of the material number.from here using F1 or F4 we can find the tables and fields names.
