Minisap Installation Problem

Hi Everybody,

I had an older installation of Minisap on my NB...I was testing and learning ABAP on it. Since I am using a new book with examples based on a newer version of minisap I wanted to install the latest version of it.

Doing so, I am getting errors. By the installation everything seems to work right, but when I try to logon to the system (also through the SAP MMC) a "connection failed" Error pops up... I was analyzing this issue and I realized that after the (re)installation the folder "sapdb" (I think it is the MaxDB Database installation) doesn't exist.

I think there is something, somewhere that doesn't make it possible to install the MaxDB. I already checks the registry, cleaned it and so on... but nothing helps.

Can somebody please help me?! Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Have you finished all of the basic system modifications, updates and activations?

Hi Kiran,

thank you for the quick answer. The first link you sent brings me to the start page of sdn..so i don't really know which information is the important one.

The second link was more an explanation of how to install the minisap...I already know it.

Is there something else to do in order to completely clean the system from a minisap installation (incl. maxdb instances and registries ans services, etc... without reinstalling the OS )?

This is the error popup information:
