mini sap Installation Error : 100

Hi

I have been trying to install mini SAP from the CDs which I got alongwith ABAP Objects Book. But perhaps while trying to extract data from Data CD it aborts giving error :- Although the mdf and ndf files have been created still I am facing this error.

There was a problem during install.

Its very urgent and essential for me to install mini SAP.

Hi Neha,

SAPCar is an extract tool, to uncompress SAP files. It looks like your archive file is corrupted. Maybe you have to find an other CD, or maybe just go to the ftp.sap.com and download the Linux version.

Hi

I think any file from sap can only be get from SAP service market place which I cant access. There should be some other way to extract the archive file or can it be downloaded from some other non SAP official site.

If u r aware of some other way to solve this problem , then please help me !!

why not try the latest mini SAP (sneak preview) which is availalbe from sdn/downloads area.

you can even develop ABAP webdynpros on this new one.

Hi Raja

U might be remembering that as I have interacted with u earlier my requirement of having a running SAP system & to be able to use Archive Link & ABAP RFC functions remotely through some application platform.

So will I be able to do all this by having "Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04s - Full ABAP Edition with Web Dynpro for ABAP".

And the best solution would have been my ability to use mini SAP as I m already having it and m unable to install it !!

Moreover this sneak preview requires very good machine configuration !!

yes i do remember.

yes you can do all these using Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04s

yes this requires good config. but i didnt use it on a 512 ram 1.5 gig centrino without much issue.

since this is the new version and has new functionalities why do you want to go with the old one.

If you install NW2004s , you dont have to think of updating it for a long time.
