Hi All
I create a MIME folder to keep some images, and would like to access these images from an application - however the images are not accessible.
it errors out '404 not found'
I created the folder (thru SE80) , under /sap/public/bc/myfolder...All the images are under myfolder..
while accessing the image using url, http://<server>:8000/sap/public/bc/myfolder/sap_logo.png
it gives an error of 404.
Any other settings to be done to access the mime repo?
Thanks
Sandip

There should be a "Publish Mime Objects" button at the top of the SE80 screen.

Thats strange, i do not see the option to publish. I have 'SAP_ALL"
pls note I am just trying to create a mime folder and add some images. its not a BSP app.
Thanks

You have to have the mime object selected and displayed in the right side of the screen. The "publish" button will then be visible. Then just save, activate and publish.
If that doesn't work, then consider SICF. But do the easy things first.

I do not see any option to display the object in right side of the screen...when i open the object, it opens up below the left side browser
I open the favicon.ico object, it opens up in the below screen.

Did you double click on favicon.ico and is that the image in the bottom screen?

OK - what happens if you enter W3_PUBLISH in the command field?

no, that is another problem...the object is not visible in SICF
i created the mime folder, /sap/public/flpconfig
However under SICF, it does not show up under /sap/public..neither I am able to create a ICF node under /sap/public..it says ' no authorization to change virtual host system'

Can you create it as an internet service in the repository browser? This is where I see and can publish mime objects.

Step 2 - Create the same path in SICF, Activate node & and in Handler list tab we need to maintain class CL_HTTP_EXT_WEBDAV_PUBLIC
