Meta Data with Archive Link

We are implementing Archive Link to save scanned documents in an external system (HP Trim). The business want to be able to search and retrieve the documents from within the external system (HP Trim).

I am successfully sending the document using the functions ARCHIV_METAINFO_GET, ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIV_CONNECTIONTABLE_INSERT.

Can I send meta data e.g. the employee number, the employees' date of birth, the employee name etc., to the external system (HP Trim) to enable the document to be searched for from within HP Trim.

I would like to integrate SharePoint with SAP through ArchiveLink protocol with custom .Net component (ASP.Net). Were you able to build it? Looking forward to your thoughts.
