Message class

HI all,

standard message class like OM,MM etc are not displaying messages after upgrading from 4.7e to ecc6.

for example when i double click on "message E900(OM)." its asking conformation of language like" maintain original language" or "maintain logon language" , if i select logon message is there... but not displaying whike execution.. if i select original language message is not there.......

what could be the reason

May be the Message text has not moved from V4.7 to 6.0.

where i need to check, whether text move or not.... is there any procedure.... y it is asking for language... but in messages are there in the logon language....

Hi

Basically the Mesages are maintained in the Logon or in the Original Language.

you Just go to the message class and check whther the message is maintained or not.

Hi

Please use the logon language , then u can use goto - > translation and use it in whichever language u want.

say if u translate it to original language , the it will appear..

hi ramya,

messages are not there in the original language... so i tried same thing , selected few messages -> goto -> translate from logon language to original buti.e from english to german but its giving message "empty object list" ..

do i need to copy manually each message or any other method.
