Memory Space Occupied by Each Table

Hi Experts,

I need a transaction or a table or any location where i can find the memory space occupied by each of the tables(eg. Mem Space Occupoed by VBAP with the tablespace and Functional Area allocated to it) preferrably with their functional areas and tablespaces.

Expecting quick replies as i have very urgent requirment.

Hi Aravind

DB02 - Database Performance Tables and Indexes gives you access to the information you require.

If you don't have access to that, the Database Utility (accessed directly via SE14) shows many of the settings and the usage percentages under Storage Parameters.

Just be careful you don't update anything! (unless you want to).

Use Transaction <b>DB6SPACE</b> - it gives the table space and also u can anlyze the many more things.

Generally its transaction DB02 that gives the sapce stats of tables a swell.

DB02 --> Tables ( Space Statistics) --> OK --> Shd give the space occupied by tables and their tablespaces..

A sort is possible as well.,.,..

Hi,

You can find table space information by using space analysis transaction DB6SPACE.

There you click on Space-->single table analysis and in the right hand side you can enter the table name in the text box "Name" to find out table space and total table size.

To find out the functional area to which this table belongs go to transaction SE11>Attributes>go to package and here you can see to which software component your table belongs to.
