It's a SAPGUi property. You can access these settings under Settings/Preferences -> Local Data -> Historical data and Cache.

One more possibility is the files inside SapWorkDir in your \Documents and Settings might be deleted.

Hi ,
Yes Keshav is Right : Check with folder : SAP_Cache_<userlogin> which is generated in document and settings
your login profile => sapworkdir=> SAP_Cache_<userlogin> is empty

Are you sure you didn't clear the cache?
Maybe it's a bug. Two weeks ago, my SAPGUI 7.20 did not display the field history any more. I restarted it and the input histories were back.
It may also be because you switched the SAP logon system entry to your system as being a "slow connection", or because you used the web browser (input history feature did not exist till very late).
Last possibility, one of your developers has made a program which clears it!

I had the same issue. The problem was the *.mdb file in C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\SAP\SAP GUI\History was static. This file should always have a modification date of the current day. The fix was to delete the file. It is automatically recreated when you open the SAP GUI again.
