Matchcode Problem "no values"

Hello,

i've got a problem with a matchcode.

I'm working on HR module, but i suppose this problem happens on other modules, so i think you could help me.

I'm searching a person in transaction PA20, if i write his personnel number, he appears correctly. But if i push the matchcode button and start a search of his personnel number, he doesn't appear. If i make the search with his personnel area he appears on the results.

Why?

Thank you so much for the support!!

Hi,

Can you tell the matchcode object you are using. ?

Check whether the personal number is given propely in the search help, correct search help is used, also at times there are authorisation objects involved (goto SU53 after you press F4 and check for the authorisation).

Thanks & Regards,

Navneeth K.

u can use the standard matchcodes .

to find this, put the cursor on the field, press F1 then goto technical info button there you will get the matchcodes, seeing this depending upon your requirement you can copy this and add some more fields according to your needs.

Problem solved,

the tab where the search fields are, had specific search condition apart from the fields you fill, it is an invisible condition that you can't see when you are making the search.

On SE11, for example you can view the search help "PREMC".

Clicking on the selection method, and then on "Selection conditions", you can see that the field PERID of PA0002 must be "no initial".

Thank you anyway.
