Could you please tell me about master data of SD module or can you please send me some document of master data....

Hi,

In an organisation when employee gets hired his/her data gets stored in Master data

like Personnel details,supplementary data,address details,Id and contact number,salary details....evething...I hope it helps you.....reward points if helpful

Simply to tell Master data is the data which doesn't change frequently and rarely updated.

Transactional data is the one which changes frequently.

For example in SD Module,

Master data includes:

- Customer Master data ( details about Customer)

- Material Master data (details about Material)

- Customer-Material Info records

- Enterprise Structure info (Dist Channels,Divisions etc)

- Condition Master Data in Pricing.

Check this

General Data : XD01

This data is stored at client level.

This holds the data of the customers general information.

This data is used by Sales & Distribution and Financial (Accounts Receivable) departments.

Eg: Address, Telephone number, Contact info etc.

Company Code Data : FD01

This level of data includes all financial accounting view of the customer

Eg: Payment Terms, Payment Methods, Insurance data.  

Sales Area Data : VD01

This is specific to SD function only. This data pertains to all ordering, shipping, billing information related to that particular customer
