what is master data?could u plzz tell

Master data is permanent data like material data, vendor data, customer data, organization data.

On the other hand you have transactional data for which the tables changes constantly, like sales order data, purchase order data

Hi

Master data means the data which will not change frequently

example

customer, Vendor, material master data

these are the essential master data to do any transaction in a business

Transaction data is the one which changes frequently

example Sales order data and Purchase order data

Master data is the data which will not be changed frquently.we can say like an Unique Identification details to track the records. eg : Material Master,Vendor Master..
