Master Data distribution - Work Center

Hi Experts,

I want to distribute Work Center master data from one ECC instance to other ECC instance.

My queries are as below:

1. My query here is, may I use t-code PWKC (Logistics -> Logistics Execution -> Transportation -> Transportation Planning -> External Planning System -> ALE Monitoring -> Goto -> Master Data Distribution -> Human Resources -> Personnel for Work Center) ? because its description says Personnel for Work Center) and not work center itself.  Or

     2. Is there any other standard functionality available which makes use of ALE IDoc for distribution. Or

     3. What/How much efforts are involved in building a custom program for the same?

Hi Nikhil,

In the past, I used to transfer WC's data from one ECC instance to another by means of the standard report RCRAPDX1 (Extract workcenter master data and write to a dataset located on the application server), running it from SE38 in the source system.

After having saved the dataset on the presentation server, simply upload it to the target system with SXDA_TOOLS transaction.

Once uploaded, run on the target system (SE38) the report RCRAPDX2 (This report is for the transfer of workcenters from an external system to R/3 system or between R/3 systems).

Thanks for your valuable inputs. But Looks like the method you suggested does not make use of standard ALE/ IDoc. Does it?

Also upload and download would add both extra manual efforts and time which is not expected?
